The Berenstain Bears is an Australian-American co-produced animated television series based on Stan and Jan Berenstain’s Berenstain Bears children’s book series, produced by DIC Entertainment, Hanna-Barbera and Southern Star Productions.

It aired on the United States from September 14, 1985 until March 7, 1987 on CBS with over 52 11-minute episodes in 26 half-hour shows produced. Each show consisted of two episodes, the first being an adaptation of one of the books, the second being an original story.

The series was nominated in 1987 for a Daytime Emmy award for Outstanding Performer in Children’s Programming; it was also nominated that year for a Humanitas Prize in the category of Non-Prime Time Children’s Animated Show.

Reruns aired briefly on TLC’s Ready Set Learn block from September 28 to November 13, 1998 when a contract dispute forced TLC to pull the show off the schedule. During the early 2000s, reruns were later seen as part of a kids’ programming block from DiC Entertainment on the now-defunct UPN, but the episodes were edited and time-compressed by DiC.

Mr. Bean is an animated television series by Varga Studio based on the British live-action series of the same name. Characters from the original live action series included Mr. Bean, Irma Gobb, Teddy, and the mysterious driver of the Reliant Supervan, with the new addition of Mrs. Wicket, Bean’s landlady, and her evil cat Scrapper.

The series again featured little actual dialogue, with most being either little sound bites or mumbling, mild slapstick, with occasional sexually suggestive moments. Rowan Atkinson provided the voice for Bean; additionally, all of the animated Bean actions are taken from Atkinson himself. Other characters’ voices are provided by Jon Glover, Rupert Degas, Gary Martin, Sally Grace and Lorelei King.

Despite the series’ actual title being simply Mr. Bean, some broadcasters referred to this series as Mr. Bean: plus a subtitle for disambiguating with the original live-action series. Disney Channel Asia refers this series as “Mr. Bean – The Animated Series” and the original live-action series as “Mr. Bean – Live Action Series” in their schedule. The German version, aired on Super RTL, is titled “Mr. Bean – Die Cartoon-Serie”.

Young Dracula is a British teenage horror drama television series airing on CBBC, loosely based on Young Dracula AND Young Monsters, a children’s book by Michael Lawrence. Directed by Joss Agnew, the first series was broadcast in 2006, and the second series, which started in late 2007, concluded in early 2008. A third series was commissioned three years later and began airing on 31 October 2011, and a fourth began airing on 29 October 2012.

The first two series follow the Dracula family, a family of vampires: Vladimir, his father Count Dracula, and older sister Ingrid. Having lived in Transylvania, they move to Stokely, a small town in Wales after various incidents involving angry peasant mobs. The third series, commissioned three years after the second, sees Vlad and the Count flee both vampires and slayers, while the Count is determined that Vlad should fulfil his destiny to become “the Chosen One”. This series was filmed in Liverpool during 2011, in various locations including the disused Margaret Bevan School, Croxteth Hall and Stanley Docks. The fourth series follows on from season three’s predicament and was helmed by a new director.
